Hi! I’m Alya Mooro—an Egyptian-born, London-raised writer, author, and storyteller. This is a space for the introspective, the questioners, and the boundary-pushers—those navigating the complexities of identity, culture, and self-discovery.
I began my career as a journalist covering music, technology, and identity for *Grazia*, *MTV*, and others. But as I explored my own story, I began asking what it really means to live authentically, beyond expectations. My 2019 book, *The Greater Freedom*, dove deeply into these themes, and this newsletter is a space where I continue sharing that journey. Here, you’ll find reflections on what it means to seek freedom in a complex world, alongside insights and stories that inspire me along the way.
